Dimensions of a standard roll of turf varies depending on your supplier. If you are purchasing from Tidygrass, the average turf is 0.41m (1.3ft) wide x 2.49m (8.16ft) long x 12mm thick (this thickness will sit slightly higher than most garden paths or edges). Tidygrass turves are sold in standard sizes.
How many rolls of turf make a square metre?
One roll of TidyGrass turf is 0.41m wide and 2.49m long. To cover a square metre without using too many small sections, you would need 3 rolls of turf.
How do I calculate how much turf I need?
First, you need to find the area of your lawn.
For rectangular or square lawns, multiply the length of your lawn in metres by the width of your lawn in metres to find the area in square metres. To cover every square metre of ground thoroughly without using too many small sections, you will need about three rolls of turf.
